Communication – how are car benefits best communicated?
Do you get excited when you read your car policy? Does it bring the joy of having a new car – arguably a very important requirement to your employees – to life? Maybe not.
There are some great employee communication techniques existing, many of which have been utilized in flexible benefit and pensions branding. Unfortunately, many car schemes have been left behind which is an issue given the employer investment in this benefit (often on a par with pensions and flexible benefits).
We consider future practice will evolve with employers:
1) Actively engaging employees on what they want from a car scheme.
2) Better using their valuable market brands as a way to bring alive employee benefit brands and policy.
3) Providing access to 1-2-1 bespoke advice on car scheme choices (including the cash allowance) given the importance to an employee of making the right decision.
